For this special evening, Dante' Pope returns to Dupont Underground with his soulful voice and unique jazz riffs that float through the Underground and delight audiences around the world. Gracing stages including the Kennedy Center, the Strathmore, Signature Theater, and others around the world, we are honored that Dante designed his performance uniquely to reflect the images on display throughout the Underground.

Franqi French, one of DC’s most gifted comedians, introduces Dupont Underground expanding comedy events. Her star quality comedic point of view is a favorite from the world-famous Comedy Store in LA, to Stand Up in NYC, Caroline’s on Broadway, and DC Improv.

Dante’ Pope is a multi-genre drummer and vocalist and a native of Chicago, Illinois. He blends his gospel roots with a soulful swing that has been showcased all around the world. He has supported grammy artists such as Old Crow Medicine Show, Dom Flemons and Marcus Miller. Currently, he is the music director for the hip hop duo, The Crossrhodes, which features grammy nominated R & B vocalist Raheem Devaughn and Lyricist Wes Felton. Dante’s debut single, “Russel’s Ledge,” a 1960’s soul styled recording, has received raving reviews and over 1,000+ on streaming platforms. His love for music has taken him all over the country to historic venues such as the Blue Note, Grand Ole Opry and festivals such as South by Southwest. He has also performed in South America and the continent of Africa.
